A Little History
The original Heineken brewery was first established in Amsterdam in 1864. Owned and operated by a family, this brewery was in use for more than 120 years. The company closed down this brewery back in 1988 and first conducted a small tour for visitors. Some of the sections of the building were demolished in 1991, which was then converted into a Heineken information center. The old brewery and its parts were eventually renamed as the Heineken Experience in 2001.
